This summer, UK Audi lovers will be enjoying the all-new Q7 and the starting prices will be well over £50,000

The year has started with a wide range of options from Audi, especially talking about the Q7. This seven-seat SUV has become even prettier after losing 325 kgs of weight. The petrol version with a 3.0 litre V6 supercharged Audi engine churns out 328 bhp.

According to Audi, they have shrunk the body a little bit but after a significant alteration, the interior of new Q7 is remarkably bigger than before. The dashboard has also been modernised with fewer buttons, digital instrument panel and freestanding infotainment monitor, a newly designed gear-lever and MMI controller.

At the time of the launch in UK, Audi is offering only the 3.0 TDI diesel unit, potent enough to take this baby to a top speed of 142mph, and takes 6.3 sec for a 0-62 mph sprint. The carbon emissions will be 149 g/km and an average fuel economy of 49.6 mpg.

On the petrol side, a 3.0 TFSI engine will attain the top speed of 155 mph and 6.1 sec for a sprint to 62 mph. A combined fuel economy is claimed to be 35.7 mpg with CO2 emissions of 179 g/km. Audi Q7 e-tron Quattro, the plug-in hybrid version, with an official fuel economy of 166.2 mpg has a claimed range of 876 miles, CO2 emissions are amazingly at 50 g/km.

The e-tron is powered with a 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine producing 254 bhp, mated with an electric motor cumulatively offering a combined output of 368 bhp and 381lb-ft of torque. The top speed is 140 mph and time to reach 0-62 mph is just 6.0 sec.

Along with the standard features inside the cabin, it offers leather upholstery as standard on all seven seats either one or two Audi tablets of 10.1 inch on the rear for entertainment. The in-car wi-fi connection in Audi Q7 enables the passengers to connect to internet using the tablets which don’t just play films.

The price of entry level is set at over £50,000 and if you opt for the top-end version, you will have to pay £54,000. Looking at these tags, it is assumed that the prices for e-tron will be higher. We haven’t learnt the prices yet though.
