Chevrolet vehicles are already very popular among people, and Apple CarPlay is next hot thing in infotainment. So last year, Chevy made an announcement that it is going to adopt CarPlay in its upcoming vehicles. That promise has been kept and now the very first production car with CarPlay installed on it is none other than Corvette Z06 650-HP.
The official debut of CarPlay was made in 2014 at Apple’s ‘Spring Update’ event, where the company revealed for the first time that how they are planning to transform the iPhone user experience to be used with in-dash displays. It will be used on both, new vehicles as well as aftermarket solutions.
A few lucky ones got the chance to test one of the very first in-dash aftermarket receivers shipped in the end of 2014 with CarPlay support. According to them, the system is promising but still has a long way to go.
Since it has been put into vehicles, it will offer a great chance to Apple to direct its future development in better ways. Apple has already revealed that it is going to add dynamic support from different display sizes and aspect ratios. It is also believed that the automakers will be able to create their own CarPlay apps in the future to control in-cabin functions.
