The Ford C-Max is an MPV that works like a hatchback or what you call a saloon. It is not only designed to take the family from one place to another but also has an attractive fun compact MPV that gives you a little car experience. Buyers are increasingly turning to the Ford Galaxy MPV for comfortable seating, spacious cabin and driving capabilities.
The very minor flaws in the roadrunner are its air noise, outdated cabin and its usual old style. Other than that, there are still many reasons to buy the Ford C-Max and one does not regret its appearance. Its efficient engine, high practicality and good grip are the most attractive reasons to buy MPVs.
There are many changes in the new model like hybrid and energy plug-in hybrid systems. But the car still has a lot of missing features among its rivals. Advanced versions now have features that add not only to its external level but also to its level of reliability. The interior is kept the same and the newcomers maintain comfort and space.
However, Ford was reluctant to design an MPV with five seats, which were the seven standards in the range, without Ford leaving its way and making these five-passenger vehicles. There is an option to add two more seats, but this will affect the leg space.
Both the C-Max Hybrid and the Energy Plug-in Hybrid have advanced engineering capabilities. The Ford C-Max Engine is 2.0-litre with a four-cylinder older and the company expects the 188-hp hybrid to have 42 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway with better fuel than the old one.
This is a plus point for this vehicle to gain a higher rate than its rivals. Although these heavier models of the C-Max did their part to make the ride less stressful for the engine, it did not live up to the standards offered by its competitors.
A new trim level was introduced this year in the Titanium plug-in hybrid range. This trim is also available with the original SEL model which makes more choices in this category. Let’s hope this adds fresh air to the line-up.
To the surprise of buyers, this trim offers a price reduction. Also, a new blind spot monitoring system has been added to this trim. All other 2017 updated models come with a power driver seat and rear camera but this feature is only added to the Titanium models.
MPV is high on its reliability, having four stars on its frontal crash and five stars on roof strength and side-impact safety strength. An important feature missing in the new version is the forward accident prevention system. This means there is no warning through the car system to avoid collisions from the front.
However, the back camera is standard at all trim levels. It has simple standard safety features, all of which include Airbags for those in the front seat, knee airbags for the driver and side air curtain bags for the passengers in the rear seats. Other features of the old model are similar to the new ones.
The American C-Max withdrew from the external European C-Max. It has a restrained grille, new wheels and headlights and taillights in place. Not all pairs give the model an attractive look and the cars are boring on site. It does not match what Ford is selling in the market.
The interior layout complements its exterior. It is spacious, can easily hold up to 5 passengers and the seats increase to seven if you buy more trim. Boot and headspace are nice. The head-up display is good for both the passenger and the driver for a more controlled drive. The MPV is loaded with the latest infotainment system, which allows easy access for many features without the hassle of riding with shortcuts on the touch screen and menu bar.
This is where the Ford C-Max outperforms its rivals. The MPV’s road grip and steering control do not match those of its competitors. The steering smell appreciates the vehicle and thereby ensures a perfect connection between the two. There is a slight problem in this area as the steering wheel is slightly centred and the bodyweight shifts to the corners.
Whether the grip of the road is on a smooth surface or a bumpy road, this problem is ignored because there is no engineering component to cover all the required areas. The ride comfort is great and there is not a single bump that passengers experience during the ride. Due to road rash, MPV may slip or lose control and change speed.
