One of our automotive friends travelled to Portugal for the reveal of new Skoda Superb and drove the prototype in the early stages of testing. The new Superb is one of the best cars ever made by Skoda and since its first launch in 2001; Skoda sold more than 700,000 units worldwide after it was initially introduced in the market. However, Skoda continued with its Superb and introduced a new generation which exceeded the previous sales mark.
Skoda boss said, “We want to be the best in the class – at the very top,” he was discussing the Skoda plans during test drive of prototype, he said,“We’re not talking about beating the Passat here – that’s moved up a class – but we want the new Superb to sit above cars like the Vauxhall Insignia. We want to be the most technological model you can buy in this class.”
