Volvo is looking to shift its flagship market of SUV up in the Chinese market soon and they have selected the new XC90 SUV for China. Sources have revealed that the new version will be a super luxury SUV with exceptional leg room for passengers. It will definitely be a four seater because middle and third row of seats have been removed to make an exceptionally roomy SUV. An additional pair of front seats will be mounted on the back side of the car for some extra fun and riding pleasure.
These rear seats will have the same functionality as of the front seats, including the full controls of electric adjustments. It will exclusively have the extendable squabs, adjustable backs and most importantly the massage functions. It is not given that when exactly is it going to be launched in the market but it is expected later this year.
The new XC90 is planned for UK by next year and will be positioned further upmarket when it comes here. There are three engine options that XC90 is likely to have, and equal number of trims will be offered in UK. It is expected that the basic and standard version will be powered by a 245bhp Volvo engine and an all wheel drive D5 transmission. Volvo plans to introduce the UK version with sat-nav system as standard along with the keyless entry and power tail gates.
Volvo has not released any pricing details but the new XC90 SE trim is likely to start around £46,000.
